Development Process

Your goal is our goal…to get your Web site up fast!
We've streamlined our development process with that goal in mind.

Step One – Planning Phase

Step 1Each client is assigned to a project manager who oversees the development of their Web site. We will identify a single contact on your end to work with us.

You will be asked to select a Pre-Designed Layout (PDL) from our extensive online design library. Choosing a PDL will get your site up much faster and at less cost to you. When selecting a PDL, keep in mind that the colors and some design elements can be tailored to match your business image.

During the initial consultation, you will be given an online “Planning” form, allowing you to provide input as to the styles, colors, structure, concepts, and many other design elements. Your deposit will be due before the planning phase can begin.

Step Two – Design Phase

Step 2Our professional design team will work with you to customize the design you've selected. During this time we may customize by inserting your logo, changing the color scheme, and creating custom graphics. You will get 3, 10, or 15 hours of design time, depending on which package you choose. Additional design time can be added for only $100/hour.

At the end of the Design Phase you will sign a Design Approval Form.

Step Three – Production Phase

Step 3Your design team will create the graphical structure for the pages of your site, depending on the package you’ve chosen.

Our programming staff will then integrate the additional features you've selected in to your site. This includes anything from Calendars to Document Download areas. Custom programming is also available.

As the Production Phase comes to an end, we will begin our internal Quality Assurance Review, or QAR. This will ensure the site displays properly on the most frequently used browsers, and is free of any bugs or defects.

The balance of your project will be due at this point.

Step Four – Training

Step 4Once the pages are created and the programming and testing are complete, we will train you on our content management tool, the 352 Web Page Manager (WPM). Your Project Manager will spend about one hour going over the system with you, and will assist you in importing your first page of content.

After training, you will be able to add the rest of the content to your site. The WPM will allow you to easily make changes in the future, and even add new pages to the Web site at no additional cost! Please note that you are responsible for inserting your site's content. Assistance is available at the rate of $49/page, as defined on our Web site.

Step Five – Launch Phase

Step 5Depending on where you host your Web site, we may transfer your domain name and hosting to 352 Media or prepare to host elsewhere. See our Hosting Requirements in your proposal or contract for more information.

We will direct you to our “Launch Approval” form for final approval. Once this is received, the site can be put online.

Once your Web site is online, you may choose to utilize our Web Marketing services. Depending on your goals, this may include Yahoo and Inktomi deluxe registration, optimization for Top 20 search engine rankings, banner advertising, customer newsletters and other promotional services. Additional fees apply to these services, but marketing consultation is free of charge.

Finally, we will introduce you to our Customer Support team, who will handle any changes or updates you need made to your site after it has launched. This team is equipped to handle most alterations very quickly. Remember, most changes can be completed through your WPM!

* Hosting your Web site elsewhere will incur changes to this process.
