1. What does
PDL stand for and what is a PDL?
PDL stands for "Pre Designed Layout." A PDL is a layout
of a Web site already created by our professional design staff.
We have a design library which contains numerous layouts to choose
from. We are consistently adding new designs to the library and
it is always updated. All of our packages include your choice of
layout from the design library and a
specified amount of customization time.
2.
Are there benefits to using a PDL?
All of our PDL's are designed by professionals who have many years
of training. With the PDL, it saves you time and money by choosing
a design faster and getting your site online quicker.
3.
Can I have custom touches added to my PDL?
With each of our packages, three to 15 hours of customization time
are provided with our designers to customize your site's colors,
insert your logo and format your menu structure. Any more custom
design and programming is billed at $100/hour. Take
a look at the packages we offer.
4.
Can I get a shopping cart on my PDL Web site?
Yes you can. We'll create a product database that you can update,
import the first five products, add a shopping cart, and integrate
it with a merchant account to accept credit cards in real time.
Packages start at $1000 (plus $495 setup and $20/month for online
credit card processing).
5.
Won't my site look like everyone else's who used the same PDL?
No, your site will be custom to you because we will change the
colors, content, and customize parts of your Web site in each package.
We give our clients from 3-15 hrs of customization in the different
packages. View our portfolio to see how different
the same PDL can be.
6.
Can I change and add content myself? Also, do I need to install
special software to do so?
One of the features of every package is access to an administrative
area to make changes to the text on your Web site. We call this
system the Web Page Manager (WPM). The WPM allows you to edit the
text and images, as well as handle features such as News and Press
Releases and a Calendar. You will not have to install any special software, but since the WPM is web-based, you must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.
7.
Do I need to know how to write HTML code to make changes to
my site?
No, it is easily done with the Web Page Manager, which doesn't
involve code. All that is required is Internet Explorer and a user
name and password provided by your project manager.
8.
How much does a PDL Web site cost?

What is process for designing my PDL site?
- First choose out a PDL from our design library.
- Send us the necessary materials to start designing your Web site.
This includes a site map, logos and any corporate branding.
Also, we ask that you complete the online Planning Form assigned
to your by your project manager.
- We then create an initial design for you.

Who can I call with questions?
14.
What if I don't like the way my site looks or how it functions?
Our team will work with you throughout the development process
to ensure the Web site is to your standards and exactly what you
purchased. If your site has been launched and there are issues
that you would like readdressed or features you would like added,
please contact Post Development or Sales.
15.
How can I get my site listed high on search engines?
To begin, we sign your Web site up with three different open directories;
this includes Google, Lycos, and DMOZ.com. Another method of web
marketing is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Search engines use "spiders" or "robots" to
crawl across the Web to find Web sites and index them for their
content. Search Engine Optimization is the process of making a
Web site spider food or robot friendly , words
you may hear associated with web marketing.
